Synopsis

This book constitutes the thoroughly refereed post-proceedings of the First International Conference on Advanced Multimedia Content Processing, AMCP'98, held in Osaka, Japan in November 1998.The 24 revised full papers presented were carefully reviewed and selected from a total of 45 submissions. Also included are eight invited papers. The book is divided in topical sections on content summarization, augmented reality, content-based video indexing and classification, content-based retrieval, system environments for virtual reality, content broadcast systems, video images and virtual space, video databases, interactive content creation, visual modeling, and dynamic media contest.
