There is a minor bump to the front board; overall, this book is in very good condition. States "4th Edition, August 1979" on the title page, but can be identified as the fifth impression as the angled yellow banner on the front board contains the wording "Advanced D&D TM" with white highlighting, and the TSR wizard logo is on the front board. This is the uncommon variant of the fifth impression, with the wording "Advanced D&D" on the spine instead of "Advanced Dungeons & Dragons". ISBN 0935696008.
