Unlock a powerful, student-centered approach to loyalty in high school life.
This practical guide explores why loyalty matters for teens, how it motivates behavior, and how educators can apply it to build discipline, teamwork, and a cooperative school culture. The author explains loyalty as a social, choice-based motive that helps adolescents connect with meaningful causes. It emphasizes self-control, real engagement, and a sense of purpose that can harmonize a teen’s personal goals with the wider school community. Practical methods focus on leadership, classroom management, and creating a shared sense of mission that supports fair play, tolerance, and genuine respect for others.
- How loyalty differs from other motives and why it resonates with teens
- Strategies for teachers to lead with loyalty through classroom routines and school-wide programs
- Ways to choose and present meaningful causes that students can own
- Symbolic tools and the role of leaders in sustaining a loyal, democratic school culture

Product Description
Both of these methods of solving educational problems are considered scientific and modern. Each has its disciples, and the influence of one or both is traceable in all recent educational writing and discussion. Just now it would appear that the demands of society, in the broader sense of the term, are upper most in the minds of a majority of educational experts; as witness, the ever recurring phrase social efficiency and its like, in which it would seem that this proposed aim of education implies that the schools are to make the pupils eflicient for the sake of society. However, the relative merits and validity Of these two ways of determining educational procedure are not under discussion here. Whatever may be their relative values as criteria, the discussions and attempted solutions of high school problems which follow are controlled largely by psycho logical considerations. These will certainly furnish workable and valid tests; if a single viewpoint is maintained, our study of the problems here considered will gain in unity.
