Whether you are new to After Effects or looking to strengthen your existing skills, this guide takes you through the essential stages of working with the software. Starting with installation and workspace navigation, you will learn how to create your first project, understand the interface, and organize your creative materials for a smoother editing experience.
Discover how compositions and layers work together to build animated scenes. Learn to import images, videos, and audio files, manage your timeline, and organize project assets. The guide also introduces keyframe animation, showing you how to control position, scale, rotation, speed, and timing to create movement that looks smooth and natural.
As you progress, explore the creative possibilities of text, shapes, and motion graphics. Learn how to create animated titles, lower thirds, and graphic elements while working with masks and track mattes. You will also discover how to apply visual effects and presets, use green screen and keying techniques, work with rotoscoping, and adjust color and lighting to improve your compositions.
This manual also introduces more advanced animation techniques, including parenting, null objects, 3D layers, cameras, expressions, and motion tracking effects. You will learn how these tools can help you coordinate multiple elements and create more detailed visual sequences.
