Adenomy hypofýzy tvoří 10-15 % intrakraniálních nádorů. Jde sice o nádory benigní svou biologickou povahou, ale potenciálně rizikové svou lokalizací. Problematika jejich diagnostiky a léčby je proto předmětem zájmu řady oborů - především neurochirurgie a endokrinologie.
Náš přední neurochirurg prof. MUDr. David Netuka, Ph.D., soustředil autorský kolektiv vynikajících odborníků všech zúčastněných oborů za účelem vytvoření praktické monografie popisující up-to-date stav diagnostiky a léčebných možností v této náročné oblasti.
Kniha je kromě endokrinologů a neurochirurgů určena rovněž radiologům či klinickým onkologům a radioterapeutům.
