nach der Bestellung gedruckt Neuware - Printed after ordering - A timely reawakening of a Victorian cornerstone. Addresses On The Revised Version Of Holy Scripture returns to readers with the reverent clarity that study, not novelty, requires. This influential 19th¿century work by C. J. Ellicott surveys scripture with a discerning eye for the subtleties of translation, interpretation, and religious critique. It blends biblical commentary with sermon collection sensibilities, offering a thoughtful map of how reformed language shapes meaning. Across its pages, clergy study resources mix with theology student reference, inviting both the serious scholar and the curious reader to explore bible translation history and the evolving practice of scripture interpretation.A note worth particular attention is the book's literary and historical significance: it stands as a product of Victorian England and the broader arc of 19th century Britain's scholarly enterprise, illustrating church history notes and the living life of Victorian biblical scholarship. The prose remains accessible, and its insights retain relevance for today's readers who seek a grounded, humane approach to sacred texts.Out of print for decades and now republished by Alpha Editions, this edition is restored for today's and future generations. More than a reprint - a collector's item and a cultural treasure - Addresses On The Revised Version Of Holy Scripture invites casual readers and classic¿literature collectors alike to encounter a precious era of English theology and a lasting invitation to thoughtful faith.…
