Item description from seller

Original publisher's blue paper wrappers. Text printed in black ink on beige paper. 5 3/4" x 9." Forty-two pages, complete. Pages are clean and intact overall except for two page gatherings that are browned and offsetting on first page. Covers are intact overall but have a large dampstain on front and back, slight darkening, slight soiling, moderate wrinkling, and chipping at corners and spine. A Very Good copy. Thie is an address by Joseph D. Felt that was originally delivered before the alumni of Atkinson Academy, New Hampshire. This pamphlet was published by vote of the alumni. Felt praises the alumni for their studies and success at the Academy. He proceeds to give a brief history about the founding of the Academy. Atkinson Academy was founded sometime in the late eighteenth century in the town of Atkinson, New Hampshire. He describes the efforts to secure funding for the school. He briefly talks about the plan to make Atkinson a coeducational school. Felt also talks about some of the traditions or customs observed at the Academy including bowing and other rules of courtesy, the annual sermon, and reading of Scripture. An Appendix is in the back. Many specific individuals are named and briefly discussed. Some of the activities of the Alumni are also addressed.
