Ready to See World History as One Connected Story?
Thousands of years of history can feel overwhelming when civilizations, empires, wars, inventions, and major events are studied separately.
Adams Map of History and World Historical Timeline by Elias Marrowden presents world history in a clear, visual, chronological format. Through illustrated timelines, historical maps, and concise explanations, readers can see what happened, when it happened, where it happened, and what was happening in other regions at the same time.
What Will You Discover Inside?• Ancient civilizations including Mesopotamia, Egypt, the Indus Civilization, China, Persia, Greece, Rome, Kush, the Maya, and more.
• Major kingdoms and empires, including Roman, Byzantine, Mongol, Ottoman, Mughal, Mali, and Chinese dynasties.
• Historical maps showing changing territories, migration, trade routes, and regional connections.
• Parallel timelines comparing events across Africa, Europe, Asia, and the Americas.
• The Silk Roads, Indian Ocean trade, exploration, and global exchange.
• The American, French, Haitian, and Latin American revolutions.
• Industrialization, colonialism, resistance, and independence movements.
• The World Wars, decolonization, the Cold War, and the modern global system.
• Science, space exploration, computing, digital communication, and the twenty-first century.
• Reference pages with major dates, map-reading guidance, a glossary, and further-reading resources.
Instead of presenting history as a list of disconnected dates, this guide shows how societies developed side by side.
Clear date labels, organized maps, regional comparisons, and visual explanations make complex history easier to understand while showing how different civilizations overlapped across time.
