Synopsis:

Discrimination and harassment can wreak havoc on an organization. At best, they're a distraction. At worst, they bring companies to their knees. In "Acting with Respect," author Geoffrey Scheer takes the methods he learned to analyze human behavior as an actor, director and playwright and applies them to the workplace. By dramatizing scenarios of discrimination and harassment, he gets to the heart of why people behave the way they do, and what the consequences can be when we fail to see beyond our own narrow point of view. Drawing from the latest research on sexual harassment, unconscious bias and discrimination in all its forms, "Acting with Respect" offers up to date analysis and practical advice that will help you minimize office drama and build a culture of respect in the workplace.

About the Author: Geoffrey Scheer is the Managing Director of Access Communications, a corporate training firm that uses theater, drama and no small amount of humor to train companies on a variety of subjects including discrimination, harassment and challenges to leadership. Prior to turning his attention to corporate America, Geoffrey spent fifteen years in New York working as an actor, singer, director, playwright and producer. He is a contributing writer for TheHumanist.com and the author of numerous plays including "The Ex" (published by Samuel French © 2006), "After the Ball," "Never Open the Mini-Bar" and the New York Times reviewed "On the Eighth Day."
