Paperback. What happens when the leadership lessons of the military meet the realities of the corporate world?Across Two Worlds explores leadership through the journey from military service to corporate life. Drawing on twenty-two years in the Indian Navy and subsequent leadership experience in the corporate world, Commander Satish Kumar Yadav, examines how leadership evolves when the environment, people, pressures and consequences change. The book goes beyond comparing military and corporate leadership. Through personal experiences, reflections and research, it explores the enduring principles that connect both worlds-and the assumptions that do not always survive the transition. For students and young professionals, it offers an introduction to leadership, discipline, teamwork, decision-making and responsibility. For young people aspiring to join the Armed Forces, it provides a glimpse into the values, mindset and challenges that shape a life in uniform. For military officers preparing to transition to corporate life, it serves as a practical compass for navigating a new professional world without losing the values that shaped them. For corporate leaders and managers, the book offers perspectives on building trust, accountability, resilience, people-centric leadership and organisational culture-while examining what the corporate world can learn from military experience.Ultimately, Across Two Worlds asks a simple question: When the uniform changes, what should a leader never leave behind?
