LCME Acoustic Guitar Handbook Step 2 from London College of Music Examinations is a structured acoustic guitar method book designed for students progressing through the LCME acoustic guitar syllabus. Developed as part of the official examination pathway, this instrumental tutor presents carefully selected repertoire that supports players working toward an internationally recognised music qualification while also functioning as a practical resource for independent study.
This softcover study book includes a concise selection of musical pieces written for developing acoustic guitarists. The repertoire reflects the technical and musical expectations of Step 2 within the LCME programme, allowing students to build essential skills while working through engaging short compositions. Each piece introduces musical ideas that support progress in rhythm, coordination, tone control, and expressive playing.
Although aligned with the London College of Music examination system, the book is equally useful for players seeking a clear pathway for improving their acoustic guitar skills. Teachers can use the pieces as lesson repertoire, while self-taught musicians benefit from the progressive format that encourages steady development and confident performance preparation.
Working through the repertoire helps students strengthen musical awareness while performing short character pieces in varied styles. As part of the wider LCME acoustic guitar series, this volume supports the gradual development of technique, repertoire knowledge, and musical confidence.
