Print on Demand. This book provides a historical examination of England's Priory of S. Martin, which was founded after the Norman Conquest and later became the Benedictine House of S. Martin. An examination of the architectural evolution of the priory is given through the buildings that remain from each building phase. The author provides detail of both the interior and exterior plan of the priory along with speculation about the daily life of the monks who lived there. Through this exploration, the author provides a glimpse into the history of a medieval religious institution and the architectural styles that defined that era. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book.
