22.2x14.6 cm. Original 1/2 leather with marbled boards, front board very loose with front hinge and joint almost gone. Bumped and rubbed at corners. 578, [4] pp., folding plate. The plate is crisp and fresh. This is a later edition of this very extensive gazetteer of the world, which contains more detail on the Western Hemisphere than earlier editions. The wonderful large folding plate shows the flags of the world, including Texas (though no longer independent at this time) and two different flags for Mexico.
