nach der Bestellung gedruckt Neuware - Printed after ordering - Rais Khan is an accountant's accountant. When I first met him, he seemed like the picture of the successful corporate executive. A quiet, well-spoken, well-groomed and thoroughly professional man. I had him typecast. I could not have been more mistaken. As a biographic account, The Accidental Gypsy has shattered this illusion. It does what all biographies should do, which is to give us a view, which allows us to see more than the dismissive two-dimensional cut-outs we operate in dealing with people. Rais Khan presents himself and his life as anything but the grey conformity one would generally associate with the corporate accountant. He presents us with an account, which is varied, deep and subtle. One that one can gain immense insight from. Etsko Schuitema, February 2017.
