ABFAS RRA CBPS prep book that turns confusing cases into confident passes.
You already know rearfoot and ankle surgery. What keeps you up is the ABFAS RRA CBPS itself: vague prompts, invisible scoring, and the fear of getting “zero credit” even when you know the answer.
Miss the mark on a handful of high-value CBPS cases and your exam gets pushed back, along with another year of call without certification.
You do not need more random questions. You need a tight, blueprint-true ABFAS RRA CBPS prep book that shows you exactly what to click, in what order, and why the exam rewards some choices while quietly punishing others.
Here’s how this works.
This guide revolves around a simple engine called the Case Blueprint Loop. Every case follows three steps: map the stem to the official ABFAS RRA CBPS blueprint, select only high-value actions, then close the loop with scoring-language wording that matches how examiners think.
Because the system is built around the blueprint, you stop guessing and start pattern-recognizing. Trauma, flatfoot, cavovarus, Charcot, tendon, infection, imaging, and perioperative risk all fall into repeatable decision pathways you can rehearse before test day.
What’s inside the book
You get 72 full CBPS-style rearfoot and ankle cases in 6 timed practice tests, plus rapid drills you can run in 20–30 minutes on post-call days.
Each case is broken into history, exam, imaging, diagnosis, management, and complication prevention so you always know where you are on the scoring grid.
You work through more than 300 scoring-grade decisions, all aligned to the current ABFAS rearfoot and reconstructive ankle CBPS blueprint for the current exam year.
Timed simulations mirror the case flow and time pressure of the live exam instead of just “reading about” timing strategies.
Step-by-step answer explanations show you which orders are high-yield, which are harmless but wasted clicks, and which are clearly marked HARMFUL: never choose them on a live case.
Why you can trust this layout
The cases are structured around the same domains and case-management areas listed in the current ABFAS documents, so every page pushes you toward blueprint-relevant thinking.
Residents report that after working through two practice tests, they start seeing the same CBPS patterns show up again on call: which imaging to order first, when to fuse versus reconstruct, what to do when the soft tissue envelope is angry.
Worried it will be too advanced, outdated, or too slow?
The language assumes you are a busy podiatric surgery resident, not a medical student. You get straight, clinical phrasing instead of long lectures.
Because every case and checklist is tagged to the current ABFAS RRA CBPS blueprint and 2026 testing cycle, you are not wasting time on retired topics or legacy scoring language.
Short, focused study blocks mean you can knock out one case, debrief the explanation, and bank a new pattern in under 25 minutes. Even in a packed surgical month, that is realistic.
Peace of mind before test day
Open to any practice test and you immediately see a clean, uncluttered case layout with bolded prompts, clear sections, and concise answer explanations underneath.
Within your first evening with the book, you will have worked through at least one full case, spotted a few habitual mistakes, and replaced them with safer, higher-yield selections.
Take the next step now
Pick up your ABFAS RRA CBPS prep book today and turn each spare half hour into blueprint-aligned practice for this exam year.
