Cet opuscule ne peut meme guere etre classe parmi les oeuvres majeures de l'abondante litterature technique produite par les specialistes carolingiens de la discipline grammaticale car il s'agit d'un texte bref, restreint dans son propos et d'autant plus expose a tomber dans l'oubli qu'il est posterieur d'un siecle environ a ce qu'il est convenu de considerer comme la periode brillante, donc interessante, de la "Renaissance carolingienne". La presente edition ne correpond nullement a une tentative de rehabilitation d'une oeuvre injustement negligee. Mais, dans la perspective d'une necessaire reflexion sur les caracteres et la nature du systeme culturel savant dont la configuration s'est dessinee sous le regne de Charlemagne et s'est cristallisee a l'interieur de l'institution ecclesiastique, il ne nous semble pas inutile de verser au dossier de la grammatica carolingienne un texte certes un peu obscur et limite, mais riche en meme temps de ses liens evidents avec un centre religieux et intellectuel particulierement important au tournant du Xe et du XIe siecles."Texte francais uniquement. Abbon de Fleury est un moine bénédictin réformateur, abbé de Fleury, né entre 940 et 945 à Orléans et mort le 13 novembre 1004 à La Réole.
C'est l'un des grands théologiens du Haut Moyen Âge durant la Renaissance ottonienne.
Abbon naît entre 940 et 945 à Orléans.
Moine de l'abbaye de Ramsey (Cambridgeshire, Angleterre) de l'automne 985 au printemps 987, Abbon recueille les éléments de la tradition populaire et les témoignages qui lui permettent de rédiger la vie de saint Edmond.
Devenu abbé de l'abbaye de Fleury (à Saint-Benoît-sur-Loire, aujourd'hui dans le département français du Loiret) en 988, il défend avec ardeur son monastère contre Arnoul, évêque d'Orléans et proche des capétiens. Il passe alors pour le champion de la liberté monastique face aux prétentions des évêques et reçoit dans son combat l'appui du pouvoir pontifical.
Néanmoins, au concile de l'abbaye de Saint-Basle en 991, il prend la défense d'Arnoul, félon aux yeux du roi des Francs Hugues Capet, en déniant la compétence des prélats pour ce jugement et en affirmant que la question devait être remise au pape. Il devient dès lors le champion du pape face aux prétentions des prélats et des seigneurs et se lie d’amitié avec le pape Grégoire V.
Pour justifier sa lutte contre les prélats, il adresse au roi Hugues Capet et à son fils Robert son Apologie aux rois Hugues et Robert (994). Juriste à cette occasion, il propose une vision tripartite de la société, où l'ordre monastique prime1.
À l’avènement de Robert II le Pieux en 996, Abbon entre à son service et devient un influent conseiller.
En 1004, il se rend au monastère de La Réole (dans l'actuel département de la Gironde), dépendance gasconne de Fleury, pour le réformer. Il y meurt assassiné, tué par un coup de lance, pour s'être interposé dans un conflit entre Français et Gascons le 13 novembre 1004.
Sa fête est célébrée le 13 novembre.

You shall send back the goods or hand them over to Grand Eagle Retail, Bensenville, Illinois, U.S.A., without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which you communicate your withdrawal from this contract to us. The deadline is met if you send back the goods before the period of 14 days has expired. You will have to bear the direct cost of returning the goods.
