[10] + 370 pp. Bound in maroon cloth, gilt, in pictorial unclipped dust wrapper, with two drawings by David Low, which has sunned spine and edge chips, including head and tail of spine. Minor wear at head and tail of spine and light browning of page edges; otherwise a very good copy. Signed by author on third, blank, free endpaper. Illustrated by 10 double page plates by David Low. Signed first UK edition in dust wrapper of the dystopian fantasy novel by H. G. Wells. The US edition was published a month previously. WELLS NOVELS LIT.
