Original burgundy cloth, slightly sunned to spine; paper title label; edges untrimmed; a spotting to edges, but a very good copy of a scarce, charming and slightly strange book. Scarce. Author proudly included a photographic plate of his family titled, "Silver Wedding of John Jones and Family, July 18th, 1901" with the caption "All life abstainers from those brain, nerve, and vital force destroyers - intoxicating drink and tobacco. God grant that these latter may soon be banished from the Church and Christendom". Also includes a chatty autobiography section, which is essentially the author's memoirs. Seller Inventory # 8817
