What if the Cuban Missile Crisis ended in nuclear holocaust? What if changing one moment in the past could save—or doom—the future?
From NY Times Bestselling Author Bob Mayer comes the stunning continuation of the Atlantis series, where former Special Forces operative Eric Dane discovers that the gates to other dimensions don't just connect to space—they connect to time itself.
When Dane experiences a vision of President Kennedy and poet Robert Frost in the Oval Office during the Cuban Missile Crisis—a crisis that ended in nuclear annihilation—he realizes the Shadow is manipulating history. The alternate timeline is bleeding through. And if the wrong choices were made once, they can be made again.
Now Dane and his team must do the impossible: journey through the gates to multiple points in history to prevent temporal catastrophe. From the legendary Battle of Thermopylae where King Leonidas and his 300 Spartans face not just Persians but interdimensional Valkyries... to the Oracle at Delphi who guards secrets about the gates stretching back millennia... to the pivotal moment when one wrong decision could erase our present entirely.
The Shadow doesn't just want to destroy our world—it wants to ensure we were never here at all.
As Dane races through time alongside ancient priestesses, Spartan warriors, and his modern-day team, he discovers that the gates are not merely portals between dimensions but fracture points in the timeline itself. Each journey into the past risks creating paradoxes that could unravel reality. Each decision carries consequences that echo across centuries.
Perfect for fans of James Rollins, Douglas Preston & Lincoln Child, and Michael Crichton, Atlantis: Gate delivers:
- Mind-bending time travel with real consequences
- Epic historical battles reimagined with interdimensional threats
- The Battle of Thermopylae as you've never seen it
- Alternate history meets military science fiction
- Ancient mysteries spanning from Atlantis to the Oracle at Delphi
- Cuban Missile Crisis alternate timeline
- Non-stop action across multiple timelines
In this war, the battlefield is history itself. One wrong move, and our entire timeline ceases to exist.
"Mayer keeps the reader guessing by twisting and turning the suspense." —Mystery Gazette
Book 4 in the Atlantis Series can be read as a standalone but rewards long-time readers with deeper mythology and character development.
