In 4º (de 19,5x14 cm) com 270 págs. Encadernação da época, com lombada e pequenos cantos em pele e com as pastas revestidas em belo papel decorativo marmoreado da época. Exemplar com título de posse manuscrito nas folhas de guarda: «D[esembargado]r António de Nas[ciment]o de Mag[alhã]es». Trata-se possivelmente da última edição dos Artigos das Sizas antes da reforma de Mouzinho da Silveira. As Sizas tinham atingido nesta época a sua máxima incidência fiscal, estando quase todos os bens e actividades económicas sujeitas a este imposto. As Sizas foram comentadas por Teixeira de Magalhães, na obra A Siza e o Imposto sobre as Sucessões e Doações, Coimbra Editora, 1935, pág. 13, na qual nos diz: «O imposto da siza é antiquissimo entre nós. Diz Frei Joaquim de Santa Rosa de Viterbo, no seu Elucidário, que o tributo da siza introduziu em Castela El-Rei Dom Sancho no ano de 1285, e daí passou a Portugal. E tal desenvolvimento teve este tributo que para ele houve o seu «Regimento» com os desenvolvidos «Artigos das Sizas», que continham as normas reguladoras deste imposto, assaz variado e da maior complexidade. É certo que abrangendo as transmissões por título oneroso, recaía tanto sobre a propriedade imóvel como sobre a mobiliária - móveis e semoventes - e sem nenhuma uniformidade: a taxa variava segundo os bens sobre que incidia e ainda segundo as terras e a naturalidade do comprador e do vendedor. Era assim um dos grandes rendimentos do Estado, e muito maior seria se o seu produto entrasse inteira e integralmente no tesouro público. O grande reformador Mousinho da Silveira, pelo decreto de 19 de Abril de 1832, artigo 1º, determinou que «desde o 1º de Janeiro de 1833, se não paga sisa alguma por nenhum título e sobre nenhum contrato, senão de vendas e trocas de bens de raiz». Inocêncio I, 309: «ARTIGOS DAS SIZAS imprimidos por mandado d?Elrei D. João III. Lisboa, por German Galharde 1542. [.] Depois se imprimiram ainda repetidas vezes, e a ultima que tenho notada é a edição de Lisboa, 1816. 4.°». Language: Português / Portuguese Location/localizacao: M-4-C-10.

You may use the attached model cancellation form, but it is not obligatory. You can also electronically fill in and submit a clear statement on our website, under "My Purchases" in "My Account". If you use this option, we will communicate to you an acknowledgement of receipt of such a cancellation on a durable medium (e.g. by e-mail) without delay.
To meet the cancellation deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right to cancel before the cancellation period has expired.
Effects of cancellation
If you cancel this contract, we will reimburse to you all payments received from you, including the costs of delivery (except for the supplementary costs arising if you chose a type of delivery other than the least expensive type of standard delivery offered by us).
We may make a deduction from the reimbursement for loss in value of any goods supplied, if the loss is the result of unnecessary handling by you.
We will make the reimbursement without undue delay, and not later than 14 days after the day on which we are informed about your decision to cancel with contract.
We will make the reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of such reimbursement.
We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back or you have supplied evidence of having sent back the goods, whichever is the earliest.
You shall send back the goods or hand them over to us or Livraria Castro e Silva, Avenida Almirante Reis, 89D, 1150-013 Lisboa, Portugal, 351 213467380, without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which you communicate your cancellation from this contract to us. The deadline is met if you send back the goods before the period of 14 days has expired. You will have to bear the direct cost of returning the goods. You are only liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from the handling other than what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods.
