Item description from seller

BW Illustrated stapled wraps. 95 pp. + covers. Profusely illustrated in bw and color. Perhaps the most famous, or infamous, issue of this long-running periodical. This copy is in VG condition and complete, including the Lynda Benglis advertisement where she is shown in a very transgressive pose with a lengthy dildo. For the more scholarly, there are also the articles relating to: Skyscraper style: Art Deco New York; John Storrs: Early Sculptor of The Machine Age; Talking with William Rubin: Like Folding Out A Hand of Cards; Lynda Benglis: The Frozen Gesture; On Bruce Boice; Jonathan Borofsky at 2,096,974; two articles on photography, by Max Kozloff; and book review of "1913" by Edward F. Fry; other reviews by Peter Plagens. This issue is so expensive because of the Benglis ad, which was removed or defaced in many issues due to it's explicit sexual content. VG+ with very little cover wear to either the front of the rear with the exception of a small dime-sized blemish to the bottom of the rear cover. Overall a very nice and fresh example on an issue more often found mutilated/ Small crease / fold lines at front cover corner may not be visible in pictures.…
