The edges of the covers are chipped with a few short tears. and the head & tail of the spine are chipped with a small piece out from the head of the spine. viii & 456 deckle-edged pages, illustrated with 3 folding charts from the "U.S. Coast Survey / A.D. Bache, superintendent".
