Paperback. In a merciless age of steel and strategy, three armies hang by a thread. The brilliant Alcibia and unyielding Rainulf battle each other as uneasy allies, their toxic rivalry endangering thousands under their command. But while they scheme and maneuver, the ruthless Aetien stalks them both from a distance, waiting to turn their conflict into mutual annihilation. How many lives is a reputation worth? Alcibia, the brilliant but haunted commander, wields strategy like a blade, carving his victories in the minds of his adversaries long before the first arrow flies. His arena is not the battlefield but the human mind, where patience and guile unravel the mightiest foes. Rainulf, a hardened warlord of the frozen north, believes in steel over schemes. He leads his men with iron conviction, his victories forged in the crucible of combat, where strength and fury reign supreme. Opposing them both stands Aetien, a master tactician who blends raw force with cunning, a predator stalking his prey, ready to strike when weakness is revealed. The tale begins in a desert where Alcibia and Rainulf, now uneasy allies, are torn apart by mistrust and ambition. Rainulf, desperate to return home with plunder to pay his men, is lured by whispers of a rich caravan. Alcibia, bound by promises he can no longer keep, crafts a desperate plan to sacrifice his ally to their common enemy, Aetien. Yet guilt and the ghost of his father's lessons haunt him, forcing him to choose between honor and expediency. As their paths converge in the shadow of an impending ambush, each man fights on his own battlefield. For Alcibia, the war is one of wits and persuasion, of delicate moves that could sway minds or shatter alliances. Rainulf faces the raw challenge of survival, commanding warriors on the edge of rebellion, their hunger for gold and blood threatening to unravel his command. Aetien, the relentless hunter, lies in wait, poised to exploit the fractures between his enemies. Across deserts, mountains, and blood-stained ravines, the story unfolds with relentless tension. Ambushes are laid and betrayed; loyalty is tested and shattered. As the stakes rise, the question looms: which battlefield will determine the war's outcome; the clash of swords or the battle of minds? This a story of survival, betrayal, and redemption where every move counts and every mistake leaves scars. Dive into a world where strategy is as deadly as steel, and the fate of warriors lies in the hands of those who dare to lead. This item is printed on demand.
