(Subject: Aviation - General) In World War I not a single American built plane flew in combat. Between the wars the aircraft became more than a mere plaything and, with the activities of men like Billy Mitchell, it became an invaluable weapon. Pearl Harbor spurred the development of potent combat types which enabled the US Army Air Forces to prosecute the Second World War in Europe and the Pacific. This book tells that story in pictures and with graphic descriptions. Terms of sale
Military History Books was founded many years ago in London and, several iterations later, it's now in the capable and expert hands of Armed Forces Veterans based in the sunny South-West of England. The 7,000+ book inventory will be available on AbeBooks early in 2025 and one of the first tasks will be to append photographs and full descriptions to as many of the listings as possible; a huge task, as we're sure you'll agree.
Operating from a large, temperature and humidity controlled building, we don't just sell books but also Magazines (mainly Aviation & Modelling) and Technical Publications. Obviously, the more we sell, the more we have to replace, so if you find yourself with a surplus quantity of titles of a military nature (and that covers all 3 Services throughout the world (plus 'Space', come to think of it!); get in touch and talk to us.
We look forward to being of service.
