The Autoimmune Protocol (AIP) is a nutrient-dense, anti-inflammatory, whole food-based, elimination diet created to help individuals with autoimmune conditions manage their symptoms naturally, reduce inflammation and pain, and improve overall quality of life.
The AIP is a stricter version of the Paleo diet, which emphasizes nutrient-dense, whole foods and excludes certain foods and ingredients known to contribute to inflammation and immune system activation (immunogenicity).
AIP is based on ancestral principles and aligns with human evolutionary nutrition.
💡 In this Comprehensive, Beginner-Friendly AIP Guide, You Will Discover:
• The Science Behind AIP: Delve into the scientific foundations that underpin the Autoimmune Protocol. Gain a clear understanding of how certain foods can impact autoimmunity and inflammation, and learn how to restore balance within your body's immune system.
• Navigating the Elimination Phase: Learn about the initial elimination phase of the AIP, where specific foods known to be potential triggers are temporarily removed. Discover practical strategies for meal planning, batch cooking, grocery shopping, and preparing delicious AIP-compliant meals that are both satisfying and nurturing!
• Foods to Include and Avoid: Get an in-depth breakdown of the foods that form the foundation of the AIP. Explore a variety of nutrient-rich ingredients, including a diverse array of vegetables, fruits, quality animal proteins, and healthy fats. Understand which foods to exclude during the elimination phase and why they can potentially exacerbate autoimmune symptoms.
• Gut Health and the AIP Connection: Uncover the vital link between gut health and autoimmune conditions. Learn how the AIP's focus on supporting gut health through specific foods and practices can contribute to symptom relief and reduced autoimmunity.
• Transitioning to the Reintroduction Phase: Discover the careful process of reintroducing excluded foods back into your diet. Gain insights into how to track your body's responses, recognize potential triggers, and make informed decisions about the foods that work the best for your body.
• AIP-Friendly Recipes: Embark on a culinary journey with a collection of nourishing and flavorful AIP-compliant recipes. From breakfasts to dinners and everything in between, these recipes will help you savor the journey while staying compliant with the Autoimmune Protocol.
