Note: This series requires prior knowledge of Origin story of Agni, Surya and both Durakti. However for new readers as well as returning readers recaps have been added.

She tears the crowns off false gods. She has never once asked to be worshipped. So why is a cult slaughtering civilians across the galaxy — and carving her name into the ruins?

Long after the stars learned to fear the name Agni, the woman who carries that fire wants the one thing creation refuses to grant her: to be left alone. Kanishka is hiding on a near-future Earth as an ordinary woman, watching the grown son who has no idea she is his mother. Then the Religion of Flames detonates its gospel across the stars — and its prophet, Pranaya, begins preaching that only terror can ready the universe for a darkness older than the gods. He may be a monster. He may be right. The unbearable thing is that he may be both.

The origin is over. The Cult Wars begin.

For everyone who has followed Kanishka since the rise of Agni, Heresy opens Agni: The Cult Wars, the next arc of the Echoes of Bhu universe — and returns to the question the saga has never stopped asking: what does a goddess owe the galaxy that forged her into a weapon?

Across two ages — an archer from the age of the Mahabharata who refuses the war that will define it, and a mother who can unmake empires yet cannot speak to her own child — Heresy is Indian-mythology space opera with the soul of a tragedy: warring empires of Sura and Asura, false gods, and the terrible price of dharma. A science-fantasy epic for readers of Amish Tripathi and Anand Neelakantan who crave the cosmic scale of Dune and the moral devastation of The Poppy War.
Dharma is supreme. Power is a debt. And every fire, sooner or later, is asked what it was lit to destroy.
