An Act for the quarantine of ships from foreign lands, outlining the duties to be levied and the means in which the tax shall be collected. The law outlines the criteria for the tax - tonnage, port of origin, etc. Includes an Index of definitions, as well as an Appendix containing tables of duties and the questions to ask a ship arriving into port. Small quarto. Contemporary marbled boards, rebacked with modern paper. Corners bumped and lightly worn. Some light toning, minor scattered foxing. Very good.
