About the Author
Candace Warren is a designer, creator of novelty book formats, and occasional author. She and her husband live in Connecticut, where they tend a large flower garden that hosts hummingbirds and numerous varieties of frogs.
Maggie Fischer is originally from Oregon, but now lives in Seattle, Washington, after receiving her B.A. in English from Gonzaga University. The daughter of a children's librarian, Maggie has grown up surrounded by books and feels impossibly lucky to write and edit books for kids. She spends her time trying not to get worried about the increasing number of crows in her backyard, petting her enormous cat, Finch, and drinking more coffee than is probably healthy.
Grace Habib was born in the suburbs of Chicago to immigrant parents. Her mom was from Seoul, South Korea, and her father is from Beirut, Lebanon. Living with two different ethnic backgrounds, her life was enriched with art, food, and culture. Ever since she was a little girl, Grace has loved to draw animals, and her parents encouraged her to follow her passion in art. She graduated with honors with a BFA in illustration from Columbus College of Art and Design. She worked as a children's greeting card designer at American Greetings for more than four years, and now she is freelancing. In her free time, she loves to find new places to eat, travel, and find the cutest coffee shops near by. She has two mini dachshunds named Olive and Copper.
