This is avery early brochure printed son afetr Willima J. Simmons restarted the KKK in 1915, and was most likely written by Simmons. It has 8 small pages (6.5 by 3.5, with an outer wrap that's 6.5 by 10.5. It includes Simmon's Imperial Proclamation from 1916, segments from the 1916 KKK Constitution, with a little Klan history that emphsises that the originl Klan was responding to the "great threat to the white race that loomed on the horizon of the South (and) would have spread throughout the entire nation" had it not been for the white robe of the Ku Klux Klan. The fault according to Simons, lay with the Northerners who "brutalized the inoffensive Negro", requiring the brave men of the south to don their robes and light their torches. ABC's were AMERICA FIRST, BENEVOLENCE AND CLANISHNESS.While Simmons tries to focus on the fraternal nature of the organization and it's concern for women, children, and orphans, the cover features drawings of robed Klansmen holding torches. Condition is VG with some wear to the folds and corners and rust on the stples. ; Black Drawings; 16mo 6" - 7" tall; 8+Cover pages. Seller Inventory # 17538
