Synopsis

“With more than 16 years in the industry and 16 years at NASA, Geoff’s story is not only of individual success and hard work, but also of NASA’s transition to a new era of space exploration, in which he played many key leadership roles. He has accomplished what most of us come here hoping to do—move our mission—and America’s space program—forward.” Former NASA Administrator, Retired Major General Charles F. Bolden Jr.

This poignant and comprehensive portrait of a life lived with passion, purpose, and profound belief reminds us that the greatest journeys are often those that transcend earthly boundaries, touching the very fabric of existence and revealing the boundless possibilities when one dares to follow a different star." Kaya Jones, artist, singer/song-writer, and Grammy Award winner

From dirt roads to deep space—one man's journey to the stars against all odds.

In this stirring memoir, Geoff Yoder shares his remarkable transformation from a struggling farm boy in western Pennsylvania to leading NASA’s largest civilian space science organization.
This remarkable ascent, an improbable journey from the fields of his youth to the gleaming, high-tech corridors of NASA, masterfully illustrates how a young man, told he wouldn't amount to anything beyond his inherited plot of land, dared to look up and dream beyond the immediate horizon. Fueled by an unquenchable curiosity, the unwavering support of family and coworkers, and a relentless, almost fierce dedication to unraveling the cosmos's secrets, Geoff's path was one of audacious ambition against formidable odds.

Through raw reflection and hard-won wisdom, this book offers a powerful message: success isn’t reserved for the chosen—it belongs to those who refuse to give up.

Perfect for dreamers, doers, and anyone ready to believe in their own impossible.
