Synopsis

A Day with Dancing O  is a playful, character-driven alphabet picture book that brings the letter O to life in a story young readers will love!

Part of The Secret Lives of Letters series, this engaging early literacy book uses imaginative storytelling as a powerful learning tool. Research shows that children retain and retrieve new information more easily when it's connected to something meaningful - and what could be more memorable than a letter with a personality of its own?

Perfect for preschool, kindergarten, and early elementary readers, this accessible phonics-friendly alphabet story helps children:

  • Understand that letters can make more than one sound
  • Build confidence with early reading skills
  • Strengthen phonemic awareness and letter recognition
  • Develop a lifelong love of reading

Whether you're a parent, teacher, or grandparent supporting a struggling reader or nurturing a confident one, A Day with Dancing O turns foundational literacy skills into an imaginative story experience.

Because when letters get to tell their own stories, learning sticks!

About the Author

Theresa Lang is an educator and author who earned her Master's in Teaching from George Fox University and spent nearly 20 years teaching kindergarten through second grade. In her classroom, she saw firsthand how learning to read can feel confusing - especially when letters don't always play by the rules. Inspired by her students, Theresa developed a playful, story-based approach to phonics and letter sounds that helps young readers build confidence while discovering the secret lives of the letters all around them. She lives in the Pacific Northwest with her cats, Yama and Zuki. She has two grown sons and looks forward to sharing her stories with her grandchildren.
