His first poem in an internationally known publication was "Headlock," which appeared in Ekstasis. He and his wife form the folk-music duo, Songs of the Folk, for which he is a multi-instrumentalist and songwriter. They live in Western North Carolina in a small mountain cottage with cats and typewriters and records and instruments. Songs of the Folk can be found on all major media platforms.
