Javion S. Blake is a Jamaican-born entrepreneur, engineer, inventor, and founder of Jus Chill, a food brand built around Caribbean-grown breadfruit and other island-inspired superfoods. His journey has taken him from Jamaica to the United States, from engineering and product development to the difficult realities of building a global food brand across borders.Through Jus Chill, Javion has worked to bring greater visibility to breadfruit as a nutritious, gluten-free, and culturally meaningful food with global potential. Breadfruit & Becoming shares the lessons, setbacks, betrayals, and moments of resilience that shaped both the business and the man behind it. His work reflects a commitment to innovation, ethical entrepreneurship, Caribbean heritage, and the belief that difficult journeys can become the foundation for meaningful impact.

Mary McLaughlin is the Founder and Chair of Trees That Feed Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to planting fruit-bearing trees to feed people, create jobs, and benefit the environment. Born in Jamaica and professionally trained as a geologist, Mary has spent years advancing the global potential of breadfruit and other tree crops as sustainable solutions for food security, economic opportunity, and environmental restoration. Her work has helped bring greater visibility to breadfruit's role in nourishing communities and creating long-term impact across the Caribbean and beyond.
