Geri True is the author of the Happy the Hedgehog(TM) picture book series, including Grownups Say the Strangest Things, illustrated by Karissa Bettendorf. She grew up on a small farm in rural Nebraska - the youngest child by nearly a decade, with parents who had earned their rest and no neighborhood kids to play with. With no screens to turn to, she turned to books instead, becoming such a devoted reader that she jokes about working her way through the World Book Encyclopedia when nothing else was available.
