Synopsis

The Story Matters

Week Minded is a year-long journey through the art of leading and living with purpose. Drawn from decades of experience as an engineer, lobbyist, and chief human resources officer, Rod Branch distills a lifetime of lessons into fifty-two weekly reflections-each one a story of courage, caring, and clarity. From frozen oil fields in Alaska to boardrooms and backyards, these real-world moments reveal how leadership isn't about title or authority but about awareness, empathy, and the willingness to keep learning.

Organized into four thematic parts-Awakening Awareness, Resilient Leadership, Relational Wisdom, and Legacy and Transcendence-the book moves readers through an intentional progression: from self-discovery to strength, connection, and meaning. Each reflection ends with a "Life Lesson," a timeless reminder that leadership is not an abstract theory but a daily practice shaped by choices, relationships, and small acts of caring.

At once practical and deeply human, Week Minded invites readers to slow down, reflect, and rediscover what truly matters. It's not a manual for managing others-it's a road map for leading yourself. Through humor, humility, and hard-won insight, Branch reminds us that the most powerful leaders are those who lead with heart-and that a life well-lived is the ultimate legacy.
