Tomorrow is Career Day, and every kid in Aiden's class knows what they want to be—except him. Aiden loves building things, solving puzzles, and watching nature shows, but he can’t quite see how any of that adds up to a future career. Luckily, his big brother Steven has the answer: the Route to STEM—a magical map that leads to amazing worlds of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math!
In their first adventure, the brothers follow the Route to Science into the Science Forest, where they meet real scientists who show Aiden that science is learning. From tiny microorganisms in pond water to the invisible forces of gravity and motion, Aiden discovers that curiosity is the most powerful tool of all.

About the Author
Dr. Steven Downey is a mechanical engineer, mentor, and advocate for STEM education. Through the Route to STEM Foundation, he provides scholarships and mentorship to high school and college students, while his writing focuses on inspiring curiosity and discovery in young readers. A proud graduate of Florida A&M University (FAMU), he is passionate about making technical fields accessible and engaging for all learners-especially those from underrepresented communities.
