Synopsis
Contemporary Romance Novel
As the eldest daughter, 24 year old Louisa Blake has always put pressure on herself to live up to the expectations others have for her. By 25 she was supposed to be engaged and a licensed architect. When her college boyfriend dumps her, she realizes that maybe the life she thought she wanted isn't her only option. To fill the loneliness, she adopts a dog and asks her spunky younger sister, B, to move in with her. With a push from B, Lou learns to embrace the single life.
Lou meets different men along the way through dating apps, mutual friends, and even bumps into an unavailable millionaire at a coffee shop. Sam, who at first didn't catch her eye, steals Lou's heart. Sam doesn't live an extraordinary life, but his thoughtfulness and the comfort she feels around him draws her in. When unfortunate events play out with Sam's family, he decides the fairest thing to do is cut things off with Lou.
As her single journey continues, Lou has to battle her lingering feelings for Sam while she struggles to find the balance between the expectations of others and who she truly wants to be. And since her life is already completely turned upside down, she might as well have a little fun along the way.
