Synopsis
"Phillip Takes Flight" is the second book in the "Phillip's Backpack Adventures" series. There is never a lack of fun and adventure when Phillip hops into Sofia's backpack! In this adorable rhyming book for ages 4-7, Phillip has tried, over and over again to fly like other birds, but he was born with tiny wings that just won't work. He has tried jumping from tall trees and leaping off big rocks, but it always ends in the same way....a total flop! His cute personality, and his whimsical way of always getting situations a little confused, add to the fun. Phillip thinks he is off for a day at the Park where he will sharpen his flying skills, and with Sofia's help, soon be soaring high. Sofia has other ideas, though! About the Author
Sharon is a children's book author living in Fairhope, Alabama. This is her second book in the "Phillip's Backpack Adventures" series. Her first book, "Phillip Must Hush," launched in the summer of 2025. Since retiring from a career in real estate, she devotes her time creating and writing stories that can be enjoyed by children and parents alike. Her love for making things light, fun, and playful, while weaving in a sweet learning lesson, gives inspiration to her books. In addition to writing, she loves spending time with her large family of children and grandchildren, traveling, and working through various programs as a sponsor for children in need.
