Synopsis
Hi. I'm Cissy. Summer is a collection of poems and prose written during my first period of extended stillness, after settling down in Anniston, Alabama. My previous collections, Stripped, Tethered, and Wax, follow the most intense couple of years of my life. Summer is what comes after. The discomfort of a world returning to something like normal. The strange work of sitting still long enough to feel it.
