Whitney has the worst job ever!
Pulling her vampire boss, Madraeus, out of his bloody rampage nearly got Whitney killed. But that seemed easy compared to her new job: convince Madraeus to help his mortal enemy, the Three Hares, who have been trying to wipe out the Races for centuries.
Why? Because the Hares are guarding the prison of an ancient snake demon that wants to consume the world in chaos and darkness, and the rogue vampire, Cecelia, is coming to free the snake. The Hares need Madreaus' help to stand against her, but he'd rather kill the Hares than help them.
To make matters worse, Whitney suspects Madraeus is already under the snake's influence.
