From the moment Cathey Law took her first breath, her life was already marked by loss. Growing up, she was confident that pain and grief would follow her forever, like shadows she'd never be able to outrun.
At 46, she found herself fresh out of a 24-year-long marriage, and grappling with a lifetime of sacrificed dreams and unresolved trauma. After years of drowning in sadness, she knew she had a decision to make. Her future could be an extension of her past - a series of painful moments as she awaited death - or she could finally reclaim her life.
Out From the Shadows: Invisible No More is a testament to what can happen when you show up for yourself, at any age, and how resilience and faith can lift the veil of darkness to reveal that when all seems lost, the best years of your life haven't even happened yet.
In Out From the Shadows, Cathey retells how she went from being a victim of circumstances to the author and conductor of her own happiness. Her journey toward true life fulfillment is a winding path full of joy, sorrow, grief, courage, and strength. About the Author
After a long and successful career in Human Resources and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, Cathey took a much-needed 2-year sabbatical to recharge her spirit and reconnect with herself. At 54, she returned to school to follow her dream of becoming a therapist, graduating in 2023 at age 57. Now, she is on her way to becoming a fully licensed professional counselor after working as a Life Coach, dedicating herself to helping individuals and teams navigate their challenges, set meaningful goals, and enhance their lives. When she's not working, you'll find her taking long walks in nature, basking in the sun at the beach, or traveling. She also loves gardening, reading soulful books, and spending cozy evenings with her CavaPoo, Grace. Cathey currently lives in Dallas.
