About the Author

Mike and Connie Washburn are both familiar with deep grief. Connie lost her 11-year-old son suddenly, and Mike lost two loving wives to cancer. Mike wrote his first book on grief and facilitated a grief recovery support group while spending most his years in gospel ministry. They have traveled the country visiting and walking beside other parents who have also lost a child.Because Mike and Connie have both tasted God's goodness and faithfulness while on their own grief journey, they founded a non-profit organization called Eternal Surrender. This organization helps assist bereaved families in various ways. Recognizing the challenges to faith the loss of a child brings, they felt called to create this book and an accompanying curriculum designed to help readers understand the attributes of a loving and sovereign God even in the midst of their darkest hour.
