Are you ready to take a road trip to the coast of New England?
Join inquisitive, nine-year-old Margaret Ruth-a true explorer- who finds herself in the midst of a magical adventure. An adventure that challenges her to believe in something beyond explanation.
Margaret is beyond thrilled to travel with her grandparents to the Maine Seashore for a dream summer vacation. She looks forward to breathing in the salty ocean air, listening to the seagulls' squawk, and walking on the soft beach sand. What she doesn't expect is to find a new hobby-collecting sea glass.
After discovering sea glass art at the local general store, Margaret learns that she too can find sea glass on the beach. Suddenly, she becomes obsessed with filling an old glass canning jar with pieces of sea glass-but it proves to be more difficult than she thought, leading her to make other discoveries.
Hidden treasure, a brass key, and a magical tale of love and loss lead Margaret into the dunes on a treasure hunt. But before she realizes what is happening, her impatience and selfishness create a dilemma where she must act quickly to avoid catastrophe. No one is perfect, and Margaret Ruth is no exception.
