Synopsis
The myths are real. The audit is overdue. And someone is about to pay for it.
Meep just wants to maintain a low profile, and Beau could solve almost any problem if he stopped creating new ones. Between college, work, and keeping their supernatural heritage under wraps, neither has time for an Auditor investigating their existence.
Unfortunately, the Auditor has plenty of time for them.
Mythological beings haven't walked the earth in three thousand years. Their descendants have spent that time blending into human society, building lives, and keeping their origins secret.
But the Auditor's questions suggest that something is very wrong.
Desperate for answers, Meep and Beau join forces with others like them and set out to uncover what the Auditor is really looking for. What begins as a fight to protect their identities soon becomes a race to uncover a truth someone has gone to great lengths to keep hidden.
And the closer they get to the answers, the more they risk losing.
Some secrets are dangerous to keep.
Others are dangerous to discover.

About the Author
B.D Carpenter is a combination of two people.B was born and raised in Dallas, TX. She spent much of her adult life living in Washington state where she got degrees in Human Services and writing. She has worked extensively as a crisis counselor and brings that experience in to writing deep and relatable characters.D was born and raised in Michigan where he got a degree in computer science and is currently a software engineer. His love of Sci-fi/ fantasy combined with his technical knowledge and experience show in his deep world building and magical systems that also still make sense. Together, B.D. married in 2022 and live in Texas with two dogs, two cats, and their dog's cat. Their relationship was built on their love of fantasy and books, and that continues into their writing. "We can all accomplish more together than apart."
