Synopsis
In this humble poetry collection Rory Goode merges the personal with the topical. His poems begin at a foundation of tension and complexity though they seek simplicity and stillness. He describes the experience of growing up as a transgender person both through the lens of big picture politics and personal internal politics. His proposition is that in a world that demands trans people justify their own existence it is liberating to engage with the beauty of the mundane.

About the Author
Rory Goode is a rising senior at St. John's College where he studies classics. He is an avid reader, guitar player and amateur gym enthusiast. He was born in Maryland where he lives now, but spent the first eight years of his life in the historic town of Glen Rock, Pennsylvania.
