Synopsis

Mickey and Dell, two long-suffering halfwits, come up with the idea of kidnapping at a bargain basement price. What could possibly go wrong? Well, maybe a victim who doesn't want to be returned, another with a husband who doesn't want her back, one who's tougher than her kidnappers, and another who's entirely the wrong person. Not to mention local thug Huey Evans who is looking to settle a score.

• Faricy is America's hottest new mystery writer... ~The Dirty Lowdown
• Another entertaining crime novel by the likes of Faricy... ~Robert Carraher
• A cross between Carl Hiaasen and Elmore Leonard with a sprinkling of Robert B. Parker... ~The Irish Gazette

Faricy's entertaining tales are populated with the sort of quirky, oddball characters we'd all like to know more about but wisely prefer to keep at a distance. They serve not so much as examples but more often as warnings to the rest of us. The difficulties they find themselves in are usually due to their own bad decisions, but then bad decisions make for interesting tales.

Mike Faricy is the award-winning author of mystery suspense thrillers. His Dev Haskell Private Investigator series is woven together with a rich strain of humor and romance. His Jack Dillon Dublin Tales series is an intriguing picture into the underworld of Irish society. His Corridor Man series is a gritty, violent look at aspects of the legal world through the eyes of disbarred attorney Bobby Custer. His Hotshot series consists of entertaining, humorous standalone novels. Mike lives in St. Paul, Minnesota, and Dublin, Ireland.
