About the Authors
Woody is the author and creator of Chicken's First Day and Chicken Operates Equipment. Construction leader by day, author by night, Woody's empathy for people bring his books to life. He lives in Madison Wisconsin with his wife and their 2 sons. Woody started his career as an apprentice carpenter and is now the Director of Field Operations for a Madison based general contractor. His stories are derived from real life examples of kindness and mischief and you can feel his thoughtfulness throughout the pages of his books.
Khadeeja is the Illustrator of Chicken's First Day and Chicken Operates Equipment. General surgeon by day, Illustrator by night, Khadeeja is from Peshawar Pakistan where she lives with her parents and two siblings. She is a resident general surgeon, and after a long day of work, her art is there to comfort her. You can see khadeejas creative side with her fun and delightful illustrations that attracts children of all age groups.
