Philip K. Dick (1928-1982) est un auteur américain de science-fiction dont la carrière prolifique s'est étendue sur trois décennies. Il a écrit 44 romans (parmi lesquels Le Maître du Haut Château, Les androïdes rêvent-ils de moutons électriques, qui a donné lieu au film Blade Runner, et Ubik) et 120 nouvelles. Les œuvres de Dick explorent diverses questions philosophiques et sociales telles que la nature de la réalité, la perception, la nature humaine et l'identité, mettent souvent en scène des réalités alternatives et des protagonistes paranoïaques.
Bien qu'il n'ait pas connu de succès commercial de son vivant, Philip K.
