Synopsis

Something for everyone in Mackenzie’s delightfully descriptive novels; church members as well as those outside the fold get a peek into what it’s really like to be a cleric. ~The Rev. Dr. Virginia L. Bennett, Episcopal Diocese of Missouri

Fr. Tom Fishworthy, former street cat and inappropriate language charmer, is the parish cat at Temptation of Christ. He’s a well-groomed, deliciously-handsome feline with comments only understood by Father Will. Of the two, the young priest is really the one the ladies have had their eye on ever since he was with the TV news network; hot with his microphone then. now drop-dead gorgeous holding a crucifix. Too serious for such nonsense, he's assigned to the parish because it’s in dire financial straits. He comes up with the idea for a Celebrity Auction and everything is hunky-dory until a distinguished gentleman dies while folks are enjoying a soiree in his honor.
As questions and auction donations pile up, our Tom Fish and Will devise their own strategy to find out what happened. Tom decides to cozy up to the elderly widow who discovered the man on her doorstep; Will, praying for answers, hears from film star Annabelle Beaulieu. He welcomes her arrival, awash in red feathers and take-no-prisoners stilettos.
How the man died finally comes to light and Will’s old network producer is there to capture how hearts can heal and how two irresistible clerics, Tom and Will, are pretty darn good at miracles.
