Synopsis
Crazy Is As Crazy Does Part 2 is the continuation of Part 1, the novella. Amber Hayden is now fourteen years old and running a . neighborhood drug operation for Fats and Desi, her childhood friends. She's still dealing with a schizophrenic mother who is in and out of St. Elizabeths Mental Hospital for months on end. Her father must work endless hours to take care of the family. Her brother Chris has now been drafted into the army. She has far more freedom than any teenager, no matter what the age, should be allowed.
She's mature beyond her years following behind her mother's best friend, Ms. Lola, who runs a brothel on the corner providing everything from bootleg liquor, numbers, prostitutes and an occasional back-alley abortion.
Amber's escape from her mother's wrath is her new found love for the Go-Go. Live music and dancing until the wee hours of the morning has become her refuge and where she meets an older man, a living legend in the city. The two fall in love and it is pure bliss until it isn't.
Amber finds herself caught up in a world of murder, sex, drugs and deceit. Will a young girl fighting anxiety and depression survive the streets or succumb to the dark side of mental illness.
